This place is so cooooool! What a little gem! I love that they’ve kept the it in its original state without updating everything. It really is an experience staying here! Couldn’t help but get curious about the history. Oh and the muffins were such an added little bonus. Yummm. Hope to bring people back someday! Thank you
Absolutely loved the coziness and authenticity of this hotel. Highly recommend if you are looking for lodging in the area. Especially appreciated waking up to the best muffins and breakfast burritos we've ever had. Making new friends in the european style hotel is a plus, too!
Stayed here for one night traveling from California to Illinois. Right off the interstate stands this bed and breakfast and it was a nice change from the standard hotel stay. The hotel was sprinkled with nice touches, from the decor to the "make yourself at home" feel. Played a rousing family game of checkers, lot of games and books to pick from. We ran into a few guests and they were all kind. The breakfast burritos were awesome, some of the best we've had. Unfortunately we didn't get to meet Lauren, but thank you for this experience and the hospitality!
Great place! Me and my dog freddy had a great stay. Lots of history . Needed a get away from the city this was the perfect place. I'll definitely recommend and will stay again. Thank you for keeping places like this alive!
This hotel is wild. Feels like you’ve gone back in time 100+ years. It’s cool though, and the owner is very accommodating. It’s a good place to stay to be pretty close to some ski areas for not a lot of money, and definitely a memorable experience.
I cannot believe we found such a great place to stay! The house is historic and full of character! I loved the shared bathroom, it was an amazing experience! Food was great. The conversations with neighbors and the owner was beyond amazing! The dogs there were a blessing! I couldn't get enough of them! Room 6 was simply perfect! We love how she kept the place decorated with antiques and vintage things. We felt so comfortable that we went everywhere in our jammies throughout the house! (You can't do that at a chain hotel) the views are to die for! Lauren is a gem! Wealth of knowledge and a breath of fresh air! She is so sweet and down to earth! Her boys are so sweet and so respectful as well! I loved every creak, every quirk, and it reminded me of our own 150 year old home! We felt right at home! You can't ask for anything better! (Unless of course you are expecting a 5 star hotel that is a bling and no character.) I can't say enough good things about this place! If you want to feel like you are home... This is the place! We loved sitting on the porch and talking to all the neighbors that stopped by for a chat, and looked forward to hanging out with Lauren every chance we got! This was perfect!!
